The Facility
The Northern Lights Trades Exposure Centre consists of a service rig (Aurora #69) on a safe well, classroom space, large scaffolding shop, and student dormitories. This allows the Centre the flexibility to meet a variety of training needs, including instruction for its Service Rig Program and Scaffolding Program for high school students, as well as a wide range of training options for industry.
Aurora #69 Service Rig

Aurora #69, named by students enrolled in our Service Rig Floorhand 15-5 course, is a free-standing single vertical service rig that was donated to Northern Lights Public Schools by Ensign Energy.
It operates on a safe well - a 148-metre 7" case hole filled with fresh water, and uses 2.875" tubing and 1" rod.
Classroom

The Trades Exposure Centre offers a fully-equipped classroom that includes a SMART Board and wireless Interent access.
There is seating for 12-15 students and the classroom also includes changerooms/washrooms with showers and lockers and a small kitchen/coffee area.
Scaffolding Shop

The Trades Exposure Centre features a Scaffolding Shop that can be used for a scaffolding training as well as a variety of other training opportunities.
Amenities include washrooms, kitchen area and wireless Internet access.
